On Thursday, June 17th at 2323 hrs, Truck Company 1 was dispatched for the report of a house fire across from 132 Jefferson Road. While units were en route, Communications advised of a report of people trapped in the residence. Engine 32 arrived on the scene and found a two story wood frame residence with fire showing from Sides A and B, also confirming the reports of one subject being trapped inside the structure. Engine 121 picked up Engine 32's line. Truck 1 reported to Side A and the crew split into three teams. The ladder team went to work throwing ground ladders and searching rooms. The officer and barman began searching the house began search and rescue operations on the interior and the hook team began opening up. Primary and secondary searches were negative. The subject which was reported trapped was located in the shed to the rear of the home. Squad 2 ran lights to Side A and C and assisted the hook crew. One firefighter from Waldorf was transported to CMC for burns and was later taken to WHC Burn Unit for further treatment. Chief 3 had command of the incident.
