Father's Day First Due Working Fire

At 1318 hrs on Father's Day, June 20th, the station was alerted for a first due house fire at 1200 Cornwall Drive, with reports of a deck fire and siding melting off of the house.  Units arrived on the scene to find the same.  Engine 12 arrived on the scene to find a two story single family dwelling with fire showing on Side C and possible extension to the home.  F/F Latimer, Jr. established the command and crews from Engine 12, Engine 11, Truck 1, and Rescue Engine 13  extinguished the fire to the rear of the house, advanced a line into the home but found no extension, and performed primary and secondary searches of the structure.  Command held units from Company 1, Truck 3, and an ambulance for approximately 30 minutes.  The fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
