On Tuesday, June 22nd as strong storms moved through the area, the La Plata Volunteers were called to several incidents within the County.  The Department responded to 22 calls in less than five hours.  Calls ranged from trees down, wires arcing, house fires, residential gas leak, and a tractor trailer involved motor vehicle accident.  Members staffed Engine 14, B-1, Engine 11, Rescue Engine 13, and the Ladder Truck.  Chief 1B also responded on a majority of the calls.
