On April 16th, 2016, we provided staffing for Co. 827 while they stood watch over their brother FF Kevin Swain who suffered a Line of Duty Injury the night before. Crews switched out numerous times over the weekend to ensure 100% coverage, all while maintaining a crew back home. On Tuesday, April 19th, 2016, a crew returned with E11 (E-1001), so Co. 827 could attend the funeral services for PGFD FF/PM John “Skillet” Ulmschneider. The crew ran 16 runs during this time, including 2 working fires. E11 returned home at 0700 on Thursday, April 21st, 2016. Many of our members attend the funeral of “Skillet” showing our support for his family and the fire service brotherhood. RIP “Skillet”
