Recruitment:
Requirements for Operational/Administrative membership are as follows:
- A minimum of 16 years oldObtain a current physical from personal physician
- Pass a criminal background check
- Provide Copy of Driver's License
- If attending high school must obtain a work permit (16 and 17 year olds)
- A will to serve the citizens of Charles County
- Attendance at Monday night drills and business meetings
To become a member, you do not need any previous experience; all training will be provided for free.
Sleep-In/Live-In Program:
Requirements:
- Must be turned over to ride all apparatus
- Must have successful completion of Firefighter I course, HazMat Ops, and CPR
- If under age of 18, written permission from Parent/Guardian
- (Sleep-In on non-school nights only)
- Must be gainfully employed or a student
- Approval of the Fire Chief
